Did you know? According to the American School Counselor Association, for the 2008-2009 school year, the national average of caseloads-to-guidance counselor was 457-1!  There aren't even 180 school days in the year.  If every counselor spent all eight working hours of every school day focused on counseling, they would only be able to provide about two and a half hours of counseling every year.  How realistic is that?

More importantly, what is the ratio in your school and how many hours of guidance counseling can the average child realistically expect to receive in their high school career?

People Do That! is not designed to replace a trained guidance counselor.  Our programs are in place to help those that believe that they need a little more attention on their needs than a school counselor can provide.  Think of it as something similar to a Math or science tutor, only this is purely business!  By offering custom programs for each student, we provide young adults with the knowledge gained from our years of experience to help them achieve success in the business world!

This is the program most adults wish they had when they were 16!

Welcome to People Do That! People Do That! helps young adults make great career decisions before they go to college or begin a trade.

For those who believe, "It's not what you know, but who you know," we also provide focused training in areas of networking and mentoring that, when possible, results in a student being able to meet a local executive who is successful in the student's area of interest. Developing networking/mentoring relationships now will be a huge step toward starting your career after college graduation!

Let's talk about college, for real!  If you're thinking about going to college, just know that the average four-year degree takes over five years to achieve.  At a cost of over $12,000 per year (public, in-state), everyone needs to know how to reduce costs. Our Career and Business Immersion Course will help you identify your career path and put a plan of action for college in hand before you arrive on campus. This will simplify most of the decisions you will have to make about college and will put the focus on finishing school with a degree in a field that meets your needs and interests.

If having a career-focused college experience could help you trim just one semester off the average time it takes to get a four-year degree, you will save yourself over $6,000.00!
